There Will Never Be Another Generation of Holocaust Survivors.
Each year, the distance between lived experience and historical memory grows. Survivor testimony that can still be recorded today will eventually exist only through the evidence we preserve.
Documents remain unidentified. Photographs become separated from the names and stories they once carried. Historic places deteriorate, disappear or change beyond recognition.
Preserving these histories is not work that can simply be postponed for another generation. What is lost may remain lost permanently.
